Overview:
-:UGC:- is an online gaming community comprised of men, women & children with a family friendly atmosphere & we expect that all visitors will have a fun experience here. We still have some rules that were designed to protect the interest of the community.
First and foremost we are 100% against cheats, hacks & exploits (Anything that was not intended as a feature in the game or gives an unethical advantage) & although we employ this rule we require all visitors and members alike to carry the burden of proof.
If you’ve made a decision to become a UGC Member than you will have the option to select either site access or membership upon sign-up on our website. We require up to 7 days for processing the request and a VOIP (Teamspeak) is required. Currently, the average time for processing is 24 hours and we have seen members accepted within a few short hours.
General Guidelines:
Be respectful: Profanity, pornography, sexual innuendo, personal attacks, harassment, racism, slander/libel, threats, flaming, trolling, impersonating other users, and links to malicious programs (Trojans, viruses, etc) are all inappropriate.
*We reserve the right to remove offensive posts or ban a user from any resource without notice.
Promoting, linking to, admitting to using, or asking about illegally obtaining software is inappropriate. This includes abandonware, warez, movie, literature and music files. Any violation of this rule is grounds for an immediate and permanent ban.
No spam or advertising. This includes posting a link to a website with no qualifying text, posting the same message across multiple forums, posting solely to link to a thread in another forum, sales posts, and posting any link that rewards you for getting other users to click (affiliate links, referral games, etc).
-:UGC:- has an affiliate program. Ask for details either on Teamspeak or Post-Up on our forums. If you’re looking for a more secure channel than run a search for an Admin or Founder through the Member Search Function located at: http://ugcgamers.com/user/Members.aspx
EX…
Post Responsibly (Efficiency): This includes abusing the color and size tags, spamming images/smiles, abusing the quote function with disqualifying text in a single post, disobeying the signature rules below, and generally doing anything else that the moderators decide is too disruptive to remain on the forum.
Please make sure your signatures, avatars and profiles conform to these specifications: Signature Images: 400x60 or 15kb Avatars: 80x80 (100x100 @ 10K is probably ok)
* These limits are imposed to support dial-up connection users and reduce the costs associated with running the site.
Below is a good example (Not Obnoxious) & less complex software will render around the size stated above. Currently, we are allowing signatures of any size but this rule is being implemented at this time to allow UGC to make changes & protect the community’s resources as needed. So kick off your signature with the following specification or ensure you have a back-up…
Moderation: Moderator decisions are final in most cases. If a mod tells you to do something, please do it. Disputes with moderation need to be handled in a PM or in the Reporting Forum, as these types of posts do not belong in random public forums. Posts about moderators or moderation decisions will be removed, and the appropriate actions taken.
Rule changes/exceptions: We reserve the right to offer exceptions & make changes to rules without warning or in response to a particular situation.
Respect the Communities Privacy. This includes both our written & unwritten rules (Be Moral). We ask that you not talk about other communities, and so we will respect other communities and ask that you not talk about others in an inappropriate way.
Duplicated Posting: Please use the search function before posting. Threads that duplicate already existing threads will be closed deleted or moved. Adding to a thread is more appropriate and community friendly. We have a notifications system that will provide notifications for any thread changes. However, in the event that a thread is closed, deleted or moved we reserve the right to determine if a notification will be sent.
* While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any manner.

UGC’s Principle Law: (Governs All Rulemaking):
The Principle law was created as a guideline for all Bylaws, Rules & Conditions. This Law was created in order to preserve the integrity & survivability of the Community & states the following:
UGC’s Principle Law:
1. The community has to be financially independent – members should not be required to pay dues of any kind. Monetary blockades should not serve to isolate individuals or empower others.
2. Government needs to be invisible – the rulemaking & monitoring of the community needs to be performed by a group of individuals with equal ruling power in a manner that puts the community needs and goals ahead of those of the individual.
3. All MUST be welcome – for the community ideal to work properly, all individuals as well as groups must be welcome without requiring any to give up their former or current identities or renounce any prior relationships. Anybody who abides by the communities rules and regulations is welcome and equal to each other in the eyes of the community.
